6th Grade: We will be finishing push ups and crunches for fitness testing and playing rugby this week. We will continue working on our passing skills and play in small group games.
7th and 8th grade: We will be finishing crunches for fitness testing tis week. We will continue working on advanced rugby passes and will practice game play in a mini 5 vs. 5 rugby tournament. Before the wek ends we hope you will be able to demonstrate advanced rugby passing techniques since that is the skill we will focus on for assessment.
6th Period: Please remember to turn in your permission slips for Ms. Paneno. She plans to film on Wednesday.
Rugby Vocabulary for the week:
Lateral Pass- Passing directly beside you. Not in front or behind but in line with your shoulder.
Diagonal Pass_ A pass to a teammate behind you. Remember there are no forward passes in rugby.
Extend: How a muscle stretches during a body movement like throwing a rugby pass.
Flex: How a muscle contracts during a body movement like a throw in a rugby pass.
Rotate: Body movement around an axis or center.

7th and 8th grade: We need to finish crunches and pushups and then move on to our sport of Rugby!
